After two biological children, a few stepchildren, and two decades of marriage, Kris and Caitlyn Jenner have very different perspectives on why their marriage ended.

The world fell in love with quirky characters like Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian after years of watching them on hit shows like The Kardashians. Kris’s ex, Caitlyn Jenner, appeared heavily on the show’s precursor, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Caitlyn and Kris Jenner were married for 22 years

Caitlyn and Kris Jenner married in 1991 just a month after the latter formalized her divorce from Robert Kardashian, father of Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob. Kendall Jenner was welcomed into the family four years later, followed by Kylie Jenner in 1997.

As we know, their relationship had a shelf life and the celebrity couple split in 2013 when fans assumed it was largely due to Caitlyn proudly embracing her identity as a transgender woman. Turns out that might not be the case, at least for Caitlyn.

“Twenty percent was gender and 80 percent was the way I was treated,” Caitlyn said in her legendary coming out story in Vanity Fair in 2015.

In the same interview, Kris revealed her side of the story and confessed that Caitlyn’s strategy for dealing with the situation was difficult.

“He was married to me and he wasn’t who he wanted to be, so he was miserable…. “All I was doing was working really hard for my family so we could all have a wonderful future, and he was angry,” she said, adding that Caitlyn’s sudden decision was “the most passive-aggressive thing I think I’ve ever done.” ”. experienced.”

“Why would you want to get married and have children if this is what you wanted since you were little? Why don’t you explain all this to me? she questioned.

Caitlyn barely talks to the Kardashian side of the family

That interview had a devastating effect on Caitlyn Jenner’s relationship with her extended family, particularly the women we all love on reality TV.

In a 2017 interview with Piers Morgan, two years after the Vanity Fair cover, the Olympian revealed that she had a strained relationship with her stepchildren.

“I don’t talk about that side of the family, I spent 23 years of my life with those kids; it’s hard to talk about, it’s terribly sad,” he said. “I have lost all relationship with them, yes, I no longer speak to any of them.”

Although her relationship with Kendall and Kylie was fine, Caitlyn added: “[I haven’t talked to] Chris [in] “Probably a year, Kim probably nine months, Khloé two years, but she wasn’t there and Kourtney I haven’t talked to her either.”

It’s been some time, but we still haven’t seen the Kardashian Jenner reunion we were hoping for. Presumably, Caitlyn’s relationship with her family is still in trouble.
