Fans have long questioned Caitlyn Jenner’s absence from The Kardashians, but it could be due to previous comments she made about matriarch and ex-wife Kris.
Although Caitlyn Jenner featured prominently on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the same can’t be said for Hulu’s The Kardashians. It’s basically the same show, following the lives of Kris Jenner and her famous daughters.
Caitlyn Jenner has never appeared on The Kardashians
The Kardashians have been a favorite among fans since their inception in 2022, largely because Kris has no limits when it comes to filming. Fans have yet to see an updated look at Caitlyn’s relationship with the family, although sadly, that could be because there isn’t one.
While some fans have questioned whether Caitlyn was kicked off the show due to her transition, Caitlyn herself opened up about the drama in an interview with RadioTimes in 2023.
“I was never asked to be on the show and I certainly don’t expect to be asked. So yes, I have moved forward in my life from that perspective,” he said.
While it’s unclear why she was never invited, her relationship with her family took a hit after she made comments about Kris in her 2015 Vanity Fair interview.
Despite her insistence that she had moved on, that same year, Caitlyn signed on for Sky’s documentary series about her family.
“I think there is always a lot to know. Even though I’ve only seen the first episode, which is kind of a build-up to where we start and how we get into the show, I’m dying to see the rest,” Caitlyn said in the same interview. . “Television can sometimes say: ‘You have to be spectacular, you have to generate controversy.’ I believe this company will adequately represent all children.”
She apparently threw some shade at her ex’s reality shows, adding, “I wanted to make sure they did it right. Every single one of them, not just the ones you see on TV or this show, but all of my children. And everyone is very successful.”
The women did not receive the documentary very well.
During the fifth season of The Kardashians, the women (and Scott Disick) sat down to discuss Caitlyn’s participation in the documentary, which Khloe Kardashian said was not intended to “paint us in the most beautiful light.”
“Apparently, whoever was calling people who were once in our lives or are in our lives to do the documentary, no one really agreed to do it except Caitlyn,” he said.
When the trailer said Kris wanted to be more than a housewife, she responded, “Well, shoot me. I wanted to be more than just a housewife. Okay, then… kill me.”

The only family member unaffected by the docu-series was Kim Kardashian, who noted that the recent comments do not take away from the “great stepfather who raised me.”
