Michael reveals his battle with cancer
During the Men Tell All episode of The Golden Bachelorette (Nov. 6), Michael Stevens shared his cancer diagnosis and now fans are hailing him as “brave.”
The 65-year-old is described as a “bright light” following his admission to the programme.
One fan writes: “Your story made me cry, thank you for sharing it, I wish you had more time.”
Retired banking CEO Michael is a “sweet soul” and a “father of two,” according to his ABC bio.
During the Tell All episode, he explained how he was diagnosed with cancer before appearing on the show.
I had doubts about participating in The Golden Bachelorette after the diagnosis. But the encouragement of his children made him opt for the experience.
Michael said, “What could have been a really lousy, difficult year was great,” according to Life and Style.
Michael ‘it’s going to be okay’
Although Michael doesn’t end up being Joan’s partner on the ABC show, he tells his fans that he’s still grateful for the experience.
On Instagram, he says: “I was grateful to even be there. I don’t have a big personality like some of those guys, but they took me in and treated me really well and I’m grateful for that.”
He also explained during the Tell All that his cancer was “caught early” and added that “it’s going to be fine.”
According to Michael’s IG page, he made his kids “proud” and made an “impression” on viewers despite not having been on the show for long.
