Heather Dubrow builds her ‘dream home’
During a first look at Part 1 of the RHOC At the season 18 reunion, host Andy Cohen asks Heather, “What’s going on as far as building the new house?” Heather declares, “Oh my God, it’s a mess.”
While she’s talked a lot about her building plans to create her dream home, it hasn’t gone exactly as she planned. It’s been more than a year since she and her husband Terry Dubrow bought it.
Not only has Heather lost millions building her dream home, she has also wasted twice as much time as she had originally planned. It cost twice as much as I thought, he admitted to Cohen.
RHOC star loses millions and time
Heather said, “You know how you and I always talk about our construction issues? What do you think is double the time and double the budget? We are more or less in that land.” They initially purchased the property for $16 million.
Its cumulative total after taking into account its renewal would be $32 million. “We’re going to tear this house down to the last detail,” Heather shared at the premiere, with “2 to 3 million” just for landscaping.
They estimated they will spend “just over $2 million” on a guest house and $1 million on a movie theater, among many other changes. In Million Dollar Listing, Josh Altman said that “the sky is the limit.”
During episode 8 of MDLLA season 15, he said, “I know you like deals and I know that you, like me, like money. You are going to have one of the most emblematic properties in Los Angeles. Think about that.”
After submitting an offer and being accepted, Heather stated, “I think the house is very well structured and I already have a vision of how I want to change it.” And it’s not even his only property!

Heather and Terry have another place
In 2022, almost a year before purchasing the Beverly Hills home, Heather and Terry purchased a penthouse in Los Angeles that features incredible views and a hidden champagne room.
However, during the season 18 premiere, Heather explained that because the spacious penthouse has “only two bedrooms,” the couple and their children “need a family home.”
It comes after they sold their former family home for $55 million. Terry, who works as a plastic surgeon at Botched, is believed to have gone back to work to pay for the improvements.
