Christina Hall posted a photo with her arm around a friend, Jared Merrell. He is married to a woman named Maris, with whom he shares four children, and is considered a friend of the HGTV star.
When the Christina On The Coast star wished her a happy birthday, fans jumped to conclusions and thought the newly single star had a romantic new man in her life, which is not the case.

Christina split from her ex and third husband, Josh Hall, three months ago. She is currently divorcing him, while filming episodes with her ex, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife Heather.
Fans joked that they thought Merrell was her new boyfriend, but many realized he’s just a friend of her family.
The rumors increased when he commented, “😍😍I love you,” to which Christina replied, “I love you more.” One fan chimed in: “For a second I thought this was husband number 4 😂.”
Another commenter wrote: “Lmao! At first I thought he was introducing us to a new boyfriend. I thought, damn girl, slow down!! 😂” A fellow fan speculated: “Will he be your next husband?”
Merrell is the owner of JStar Auto Group, a used car dealership located in Anaheim, California, according to his Instagram bio. She also posted a photo of her birthday cake, which was celebrated over a weekend.
