A new series of Married At First Sight UK started in mid-September and when we say “started”, things really kick off a month after the show started. In the Channel 4 series, experts match couples who then marry without having met before. Of course, success could be on the line for some of the duos, but in season 9, some of the couples’ relationships descend into total chaos.
Halfway through season 9, some newbies are added to the cast. Fans know Hannah Norburn and Stephen Nolson, both 33 years old. Stephen has been married before and has four children. He got married at 18 and was nervous about recommitting to someone. He tells how this is his “last ditch effort to find his person” on Married At First Sight UK. She says, “I got my heart broken last time and I just refuse to go through that again.”

Orson ‘aggrandizes Hannah’
It’s officially cringe time as new scenes are released on MAFS UK this October. In episode 18, Stephen’s wife, Hannah, and another married participant in the experiment, Orson, “flirt.”
Hannah and Orson were making no attempt to hide their “banter” as they “held hands” in front of their Channel 4 co-stars.
The two said there was nothing “joking” about their behavior, but Stephen and many of the other contestants criticize Hannah for her kindness toward some of her co-stars.
During episode 18 of season 9, the show shows Hannah knocking on Orson’s door. She explains that she’s “not ready to give up on Stephen” and wants to “have a chat with Orson to get to the bottom of it…”.
Hannah tells Orson, “So, there are rumors about you and me…”
She says the two were laughing and joking at the commitment ceremony, but now “everyone has turned against her.”
Hannah, defending her pranks, exclaims, “I can’t win, I’m the villain.”
Orson tells her, “There was no malicious intent,” before asking what he can do to help Hannah.
She asks her co-star to “support her” and tells the cameras in a confessional, “I think Orson is a good guy.”
Orson admits that he “liked” Hannah on first impression. He asks her, “Do you know how amazing you are?” before telling the gym owner, “She’s fiery, feisty, and doesn’t seem like she gives a shit.”
Hannah said she was happy to hear Orson “big up” her.

“I’m not in a great place”
Fans seem incredulous at the two’s “flirting” and others seem entertained by the drama of episode 18.
Orson admits in a confessional: “I’m not in a great place with Richelle, Stephen is not in a great place with Hannah.”
He tells the cameras they can “come out now,” as Hannah jokes, “Okay, bring it to a boil,” after their heart-to-heart conversation.
Forty-one-year-old Orson adds, “I’m not 100 percent sure if Hannah likes me or not, if she likes me…” before laughing.
In the next episode of MAFS UK, the group splits up during ‘boys and girls days’ and Hannah can be seen saying she feels like she’s “walking into the lions’ den.”
She was asked to “explain herself” in front of the group before Polly Sellman accused her of “doing stupid things.”
The conversation with Orson comes to light among the men, angering Stephen in episode 19. He accuses Hannah of “trying it on everyone else.”
Orson says, “I think it’s a little unfair,” before Stephen exclaims that it’s “done.”
As of this writing, Hannah and Orson are giving fans a hint that they are still on friendly terms as they follow each other on Instagram.
Hannah and Stephen don’t follow each other.
