A man identified as Iquensi Zelaya, 32, died this Sunday in the Greater Metropolitan Central of San Pedro Sula, Cortés, after suffering a series of seizures when he bought a bus ticket.
Zelaya, originally from Puerto Lempira and a security guard by profession, had arrived at the terminal to board a bus on his way to La Mosquitia after having undergone lung surgery weeks before at the Mario Catarino Rivas Hospital.

According to information from the National Emergency System 911, which received the emergency report, Zelaya collapsed in the ticketing area of a transportation company, where he was found dead by paramedics.
Witnesses reported that the man began to convulse unexpectedly and then collapsed, without the personal doctor being able to do anything to save him.
Relatives of the deceased confirmed to local media in San Pedro Sula that Zelaya had undergone surgery to treat a lung condition, and planned to return to his home in Puerto Lempira with his family.
Although the exact cause of his death has not yet been determined, witnesses and 911 personnel assume that his death may have been due to complications resulting from his recent surgery.
