The anguish that overwhelmed the community of Candelaria in Colombia and the entire country for almost three weeks has come to a tragic end.
The lifeless body of Sofía Delgado, the 12-year-old girl who disappeared on September 29, was found half-buried in a rural area of the municipality.

Little Sofia went to a nearby store to buy shampoo for her pet when she was last seen.
The authorities point to the owner of the establishment as the main suspect, who would have perpetrated a heinous crime against the minor. According to local media reports, the man would have kidnapped, sexually abused and, finally, murdered Sofía.
After an intense operation, the authorities arrested two people, including the owner of the store, as allegedly responsible for this abominable event.
