The murder of businessman Hugo Figueroa, nephew of the iconic singer Joan Sebastian, has shaken social networks after a shocking video went viral showing him being executed in cold blood. The authorities of the state of Michoacán have confirmed the authenticity of the recording, revealing that it is indeed Figueroa, captured in his last moments before being brutally murdered by an armed group.

The tragic event took place after his kidnapping on January 27 in the La Aurora bullring, in the municipality of Tarímbaro. In the shocking video, the perpetrators are heard insulting Figueroa and warning him in a threatening manner: “You don’t play with the people on the hill, wow.” The businessman was found dead days later, on January 31, which triggered an investigation by the Michoacán Attorney General’s Office.

The Prosecutor’s Office has indicated that the video will be carefully analyzed and integrated into ongoing investigations, with the hope of identifying and bringing to justice those responsible for this heinous crime.
