Based in the countryside, newlyweds on Married at First Sight UK would gather to gossip and spend quality time with their husband or wife. The E4 show certainly spent a penny or two on the couples.

MAFS UK couples head for retirement
MAFS UK couples enjoyed Retreat East, a Suffolk country hotel in Hemingstone. Stays start from £180 per night at the four-star hotel, which offers a series of relaxing spa days.
Located on a 16th century dairy farm, with 21 outfitted barns and a local produce garden, Retreat East will make its debut on MAFS from Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th October.
Polly plans to return a couple of weeks after filming, while Emma told hotel staff: “What a relaxing retreat it was. It really was a good job booking the whole place – there might have been a few complaints.”
Won the award for ‘most romantic hotel’
Retreat East won Most Romantic Hotel of the Year in 2023, awarded by The Times and The Sunday Times in their annual list of the 100 best places to stay, despite only being open for five years.
Even MAFS UK expert Charlene Douglas was jealous that the cast stayed there. She wrote: “I was just saying what a wonderful place. I think the experts should join us next time!
Nathan Campbell, who is married to Lacey, was equally grateful, saying it was “an incredible moment.” In fact, expert Mel Brisbane-Schilling will be hosting an on-site retreat in just a few weeks.
Adam commented: “Beautiful scenes 😬, the double shower and bath in our room were 👌🏽,” while Hannah wrote: “The most amazing place!! It was so impressive. Thank you for inviting us 😍.”
Drama ensues during a three-night stay
Hannah and Orson flirted during the three-night stay, despite being married to Stephen and Richelle. Luckily, the cast of MAFS UK have rented out the entire place, while the staff promise they’re back to the “Zen vibes.”
The drama began when Stephen was informed of Hannah’s behavior, including holding Stephen’s hand and telling Ryan that her shoes were pretty. Hannah felt like everyone was talking about her behind her back.
