The resignation comes after several messages published on social networks, anonymously, reporting sexist violence.
Although the text does not mention the name of the deputy, users began to relate it in a forceful way, the publications refer to a well-known politician in Madrid who is described as a psychological abuser in his relationship with women and a “true monster.”

Iñigo Errejón does not refer to these comments, but he suggests that the reasons for his resignation have to do with the growing pressure from his colleagues. “I have reached the limit of contradiction between the character and the person,” he mentions in the statement.
Who is Iñigo Errejón’s partner?
Throughout his career Iñigo Errejón has been linked to numerous figures, however, the last couple that is publicly known is Rita Maestre with whom he had a seven-year relationship and there is also talk of his relationship with the journalist Glòria Mena.
According to the book published by Errejón, where he refers to Rita whom he met in 2008, and with whom, despite everything they have been through, he maintains a great relationship.
The two were together for over seven years, however this ended at the end of 2014, Maestre became a great support, both personally and professionally. A stage that he remembers as one of the “happiest” of his life.
