Details of the bodyguard who works with Kendall Jenner
For two London Fashion Weeks, Simon Newton lent his security skills to much-loved Kardashian star Kendall.
At the time, she was “18 or 19,” according to Simon, and was as “laid back” as fans see her on the Hulu family show.
Speaking about what Kendall was really like, Simon tells Reality Tidbit: “She’s just a cool person, I really liked her.”
He adds that she was “herself all the time” and had a “chill” vibe.
The security professional admits that he had to Google who Kendall was when he found out she was his client, as this was in the early days of her modeling career.
This could also explain why Simon says the star wasn’t particularly “demanding,” given that she was a teenager and at the beginning of her stardom. Today, Kendall may be less tolerant, but speaking about her back then, Simon doesn’t have a bad word to say.
As Kendall’s fame rises, she may also face more security risks. Reality Tidbit asked Simon what risks he faced when working with her, and he said the main problem he faced was “crowd gathering.”
“Not violent crowds, but people wanting to take photographs, and it may not have been the right time,” he clarifies.
‘The poor girl just wanted to have lunch’
Speaking about the biggest challenge he faced working with Kendall, Simon says it’s actually something really mundane.
“Even if you want five minutes of rest, very often you don’t get it,” he explains.
Simply getting some lunch proved very difficult for the star.
Simon says: “If you just want to eat… I worked with her alone too, you can’t just go to a restaurant and sit down. And with such short notice.”
He continues: “My knowledge of London is good, but I would still have to think about where it is best to go. First of all, it would have to be a suitable place for her, because she is not going to eat at McDonald’s. Second, maybe somewhere with a private room, an area where I can keep her away from everyone else in the restaurant. Little things like that can be difficult.”
“It’s nothing another person wouldn’t ask for, but things like that can be difficult sometimes,” the bodyguard continues.
“The poor girl just wanted to have lunch,” he adds.
